The course outlines the safety procedures and practices surrounding using a Skid Steer Loader. There is a practical portion, including the completion of a written exam and a practical portion to be completed on a Skid Steer. The skill of each student will be evaluated during the hands-on portion.

Topics Include:

  • History and mechanics of the Skid Steer Loader
  • Skid steer safety regulations and safety basics
  • Pre-operational responsibilities and how to maintain the skid steer loader
  • Basic, proper and safe methods for using the skid steer loader

3-year certificate upon completion.

Attendees must bring basic PPE, including a hard hat, steel-toe boots, a reflective vest, and outdoor clothing for the practical portion.
