This 8 hour course is designed to provide the student with the background knowledge regarding the detection and control of hazardous materials. Students will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years.
Who Should Attend?
Persons who presently work or plan to work in an area where hazardous materials may be present.
This course is designed to familiarize petroleum industry workers with the hazards of flammable substances, precautionary measures for working in environments where flammable substances are present, and proper detection practices using catalytic detection instruments.
The contents of this course will cover principles of flammable gas/vapour detection, care and preparation of combustible gas monitors, sampling strategies and interpreting monitor readings.
ESC certificate upon completion. Valid for 3 years. 8 hour classroom.
